Sara Pitts, Ph.D.

Dr. Sara Pitts is an adjunct instructor for the University of Kansas. Her full time job is an Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Alice Lloyd College in Pippa Passes, Kentucky where she teaches and advises undergraduate students in the Communication Studies program. She has degrees from Western Kentucky University (B.A. and M.A.E.) and West Virginia University (Ph.D.). Her research focuses on academic advising behaviors and student-advisor relationships and she has been published in Communication Education, The Routledge Handbook of Public Speaking Research and Theory, Journal of the Speech and Theatre Association of Missouri, and Communication Research Reports. When she is not teaching, you can probably find her with her dog, Archie, traveling to see friends.
