The Master of Arts in Organizational Communication degree and graduate certificates in professional workplace communication and professional management equip business professionals with the skills, tools, and methodologies needed to support a wide spectrum of organizational goals through effective communication.

Master’s degree

The Master of Arts in Organizational Communication degree program consists of 30 credit hours of coursework. The curriculum helps students develop an advanced understanding of how communication and workplace relationships fuel organizational culture, team productivity, and managerial effectiveness. Being aware of these dynamics and having the skills to identify and address them is critical as communicators move into management and leadership positions.

Graduate certificates

The Graduate Certificate in Professional Workplace Communication consists of 12 credit hours of courses from the master’s degree program that focus on the skills and methodologies business professionals most need to support communication goals within organizations.

The Graduate Certificate in Professional Management is also a 12-credit-hour program which provides advanced essentials for those who want to enter managerial roles or strengthen their management abilities. Course topics include leading teams, managing projects, finance, communication, and more.

The master’s degree and graduate certificate programs are supported by the Johnson County Education Research Triangle (JCERT).
