Technical Transfer Credits Pathway
Continue your education at the KU Edwards Campus
The Technical Transfer Credits Pathway may provide students who have completed an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree or are working toward it with a time- and cost-saving path to earn their bachelor’s degree in select KU School of Professional Studies undergraduate programs.
Examples of working professionals who have completed an A.A.S. degree or have earned hours toward the degree could include nurses, animation/gaming designers, IT/computer systems technicians, construction managers, paramedics, firefighters, health care technicians, or professionals in technical fields such as cybersecurity, project management, operations management, or professional performance.
How the Technical Transfer Credits Pathway works
Students can apply credit hours of technical coursework as lower-division elective credit for the programs listed below.
These credits can be applied toward a bachelor’s degree in a high-demand field. Prospective students will work with an advisor to create a personalized academic plan that aligns with their career goals.
Flexible online and hybrid course options are available to accommodate working professionals who are typically balancing multiple responsibilities while pursuing their education.
Why students should consider this option
A bachelor’s degree can open the door to other career opportunities and increase earning potential. The Technical Transfer Credits Pathway allows students to reduce the time and cost needed to complete a bachelor’s degree by maximizing the use of prior credits from their A.A.S. degree program.
Online and hybrid learning options provide the flexibility students need to balance their educational goals with work and life. Dedicated faculty and advisors are available to support students throughout their academic journey.
