KU’s American Sign Language & Deaf Studies (ASLD) program offers students an immersive, hands-on education in ASL, Deaf culture and linguistics. With options for a BA, BS, or a certificate in ASL/English Interpreting, this program prepares you for roles in interpreting, education, human services, and advocacy. You’ll build fluency in ASL while gaining a deep understanding of Deaf communities, cultural values and accessibility.
