Undergraduate research opportunities

The Center for Undergraduate Research & Fellowships (CURF)

This office is dedicated to guiding students through the process of securing undergraduate research opportunities and applying for nationally competitive fellowships and scholarships.

The center also hosts programs to support students, faculty, and staff in their research endeavors, including:

STEM Forward Scholars program

The STEM Forward Scholars program supports students from historically marginalized communities and students underrepresented in STEM, reinforcing KU’s commitment to a diverse and equitable workforce in STEM fields.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be:

• Students eligible for a Pell Grant. (No FAFSA required.)
• Admitted to a biotech, applied biological sciences or health sciences program at KUEC.
