The KU School of Professional Studies provides a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs for working professionals. Our classes allow students to balance work, family, and education. Programs like the Business and Technology Transfer Community can help you maintain that balance.
The Business and Technology Transfer Community will connect you to events, programs, and unique learning opportunities. By the time you finish your associate’s degree, you’ll be ready to jump into your bachelor’s work.
As a member of a transfer community, you can expect to:
- Establish relationships with KU faculty and staff before you start classes.
- Develop a plan with milestones to complete your associate’s and bachelor’s degrees.
- Join professional and social events at KU and your community college.
- Engage in leadership activities in the KC metro.

We are dedicated to guiding students through the process of securing undergraduate research opportunities and applying for nationally competitive fellowships and scholarships.

Honors program
The KU Honors Program provides a unique, supportive community for students focused on optimizing their education.

Capstone project
The capstone project brings together the concepts and techniques learned in the information technology program coursework and applies them to a real-world problem. The selection of the capstone project is made by the student in conjunction with information technology faculty.
