Technical Transfer Credits

The School of Professional Studies accepts technical credits for select bachelor’s degree programs. Students who have completed technical credits from a certificate, Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree, or program on a Joint Services Transcript (JST) are eligible for a time and cost-saving path to earn their bachelor’s degree in select KU School of Professional Studies undergraduate programs.

Technical courses can come from a wide variety of programs. Examples include, but are not limited to, animation/gaming design, IT/computer systems, construction management, EMT/paramedic training, and technical healthcare certifications such as CMA/CNA/Pharmacy Tech. How technical transfer credits work

Technical credits can be considered for lower-division elective credit for the programs listed below.

Upon review and approval, technical credits can be applied toward a bachelor’s degree in a high-demand field. Prospective students will work with an advisor to create a personalized academic plan that aligns with their career goals.

The Bachelor of Professional Studies is designed for undergraduate students who have a wide variety of education, training, and work experience. This unique program draws upon coursework from multiple programs and disciplines. The flexible curriculum allows students to transfer credit from a community college or other accredited institution and create a baccalaureate degree pathway to demonstrate their ability to succeed in courses with content relevant to their anticipated profession. B.P.S. students will complete a minor in an academic area that aligns with their professional goals.
