Biography

Emikly Brinkman earned bachelor's degrees in Biology, Human Nutrition, and Dietetics from Kansas State University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is a registered dietitian and licensed dietitian whose career has spanned public health nutrition, food access, and community health initiatives. Her experience includes work in Child Nutrition Programs and WIC, as well as training and technical assistance efforts supporting local health departments and community coalitions across Kansas. Her professional passions center on improving food access and creating environments where nutritious choices are the easy and desirable option. She is especially committed to lifespan nutrition: from ensuring children have a healthy start in life to promoting nutrition and movement as tools for healthy aging, sustained independence, and quality of life.
