Biography —
Emily McMahon, MBA is an adjunct professor in the Professional Performance program. A serial entrepreneur, McMahon founded her first company, an equestrian business, at 15 — she didn’t have a driver’s license, but she had an accountant. Over the past decade, she has honed her strategy and marketing expertise in the political consulting, nonprofit, higher education, and tech startup arenas. Her entrepreneurial journey includes the founding of Barberque, a nonprofit that supported individuals struggling with homelessness in 2016, and 3MC Media, Inc., a full-service digital agency, in 2020. Today, McMahon serves as Associate Vice President of Digital Marketing Eduvantis, a higher education consultancy and agency. In 2024, McMahon was by the City of Denver and BEN Entrepreneurs Network and invited to participate in the Denver Scale-Up Network–an accelerator program for high-opportunity companies. McMahon holds an MBA from Illinois State, a Certificate in Data Analytics from Cornell, and a BA with a double major in Communication and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse.
