Jon Gould

Jon Gould has served with the Wichita Police Department for 17 years, the last six as a detective with the Exploited and Missing Child Unit (EMCU), where he has investigated more than 1,000 child abuse cases. His career also includes time as a detective in the Gang Felony Assault Unit and earlier service as a patrol and community policing officer. Recognized as an expert in science-based interviewing, Jon regularly trains fellow investigators on conducting high-stakes interrogations, as well as broader investigative techniques and child abuse case work, and frequently speaks at school safety and other conferences. Jon holds a master's degree in criminal justice and a bachelor's degree in English, both from Wichita State University.
