Biography —
Kacey Wiltz is the Chief of Police for the Kansas City Kansas Community College Police Department. Kansas City Kansas Community College is the third largest community college in Kansas by enrollment and is centrally located in the Kansas City metro area. The institution offers over 70 programs in areas like advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and information technology, and has six different campuses spread throughout Wyandotte and Leavenworth counties. The KCKCC Police Department is staffed by 23 full-time, certified officers who provide 24/7 campus patrol and coordinates with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies while operating comprehensive crime awareness and prevention programs.
Previously, Chief Wiltz held the rank of Corporal with the Lawrence, Kansas Police Department and was assigned as a School Resource Officer at Lawrence Free State High School. While in the first year in her role, Wiltz received the Hometown Hero Award for her dedication to the students at Lawrence Free State High School. In 2023, the Kansas Juvenile Officers Association recognized Wiltz as the Kansas School Resource Officer of the Year. Additionally in 2023, the National Association of School Resource Officers recognized the Lawrence Police Department School Resource Officer Unit and presented them with a Model Agency Award. Corporal Wiltz accepted the award at the National School Safety Conference hosted by the National Association of School Resource Officers.
Wiltz holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Master of Science in Criminal Justice. She is currently enrolled at Liberty University to obtain a PhD in Criminal Justice Leadership, expected in May 2026. A strong believer in building relationships with the community, Wiltz currently serves on the Douglas County Juvenile Justice Advisory Board, is a past Board Member of the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence and is the past Vice President of Sheep Dog Impact Assistance, a National non-profit that exists to engage, assist, and empower our Nation’s military and first responders.
