Biography

I am a dedicated healthcare professional and educator with extensive experience in clinical research and academic instruction. As the Director of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Research at the University of Kansas Medical Center, I lead a multidisciplinary team in overseeing and optimizing clinical research studies aimed at improving patient care. My expertise includes developing and managing study protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, and implementing strategies to enhance research efficiency. I have successfully led initiatives to improve research operations, streamline study procedures, and support high-quality patient-centered investigations. Additionally, I have experience in securing research funding through grant writing, facilitating collaborations with industry and academic partners, and mentoring research professionals to foster excellence in clinical studies.
