Biography —
I teach undergraduate courses in criminal justice and criminology, including Introduction to Criminal Justice and Historical and Theoretical Foundations of Criminology. My research and teaching focus on terrorism, organized crime, transnational crime, policing, and criminal justice. I previously served as Co-Director of the Global Terrorism Trends and Analysis Center (GTTAC), which collected and analyzed terrorism data for the U.S. Department of State. I have authored or co-authored nine books and more than 150 articles and currently serve as Managing Editor for Counterterrorism and Chair of the Counterterrorism Advisory Board at Homeland Security Today.
