Biography

Scott Marshall is a Professor of the Practice teaching in the Engineering Management Programs.  He is a seasoned executive, educator, and community leader with over 30 years of global experience in engineering, manufacturing, and operations management. He brings his deep industry expertise into the classroom to prepare future leaders with real-world skills in strategy, engineering and operations leadership. Scott led transformative initiatives across multiple industries and is known for integrating data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and ethical leadership into both corporate and academic settings.

Before transitioning into higher education, Scott held senior leadership roles in both privately held and Fortune 500 companies, where he oversaw multi-site operations across North America and Europe. His responsibilities spanned global supply chain management, new product development, process improvement, and organizational restructuring. Known for his hands-on leadership style and commitment to developing talent, he led several major growth initiatives and cross-functional turnarounds that delivered measurable results in safety, quality, and profitability. 

Scott completed an undergraduate degree in Manufacturing as well as a master’s degree in engineering management from Wayne State University and a Master of Business Administration from Rockhurst University as part of the Executive Fellows MBA program.
